QA Engineer – Automation

Overview

My client based in Dublin West is recruiting for a QA Automation Tester to join the team. This role will involve working with a team that’s already in place and also an opportunity to work with the latest technologies.

Duties

• Understand & validate requirements, use cases, definition & testability
• Design, develop and execute test cases
• Prepare test data to support test cases
• Automation of functional & performance tests
• Execution of both manual & automated test cases plus result analysis
• Troubleshoot / isolate problems encountered during testing; triage & root cause analysis
• Maintain and enhance test case suite.

Skill Required

• Minimum 4 years of experience in software quality assurance industry with at least 2.5 years of hands on experience in automation testing
• Fundamental understanding of software test lifecycles and quality control methodologies
• Experience working in a structured test environment
• Experience across some or all of the following testing types: black box, white box, performance, security, integration
• Master web applications and web services test structured experience with database integration. End to end data driven analysis
• Proficient scripting and automation capabilities. (e.g. Java, Python, Bash, PHP etc..)
• Familiar with testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, SOAPUI
• Experience with version control
• Knowledge with Continuous Integration tools
• Knowledge of working with different test managements tools

Nice to have

Knowledge of Jira would be an advantage
