QA Automation Engineer

My client is looking for an Automation Tester with a strong automation and performance testing experience, coming from a development background is a plus. My client is one of Ireland’s leading employer’s and they offer excellent benefits and work life balance.

Responsibilities:

• Define and/or refine Automated Test Architecture for application delivery projects
• Automate repeatable and reusable test scenarios
• Review functional design specifications and/or User Stories
• Plan and organise automated test approach, to be executed with the assistance of other testers
• Documenting testing process
• Liaising with Quality Control Lead to agree test assignment

Skills:

• Strong automation experience.
• Knowledge and experience of application development
•  Knowledge and experience of the Software Delivery Lifecycle
•  Understanding of XML, JSON, JMS, Messaging systems
• Knowledge of Development and Testing Standards and approaches.
• Knowledge of Development and Testing Standards and approaches.
• Strong technical knowledge of; Java, SQL, XML, relational databases
• Ability to operate within Waterfall, Agile or hybrid methodologies.
