Job Description

An excellent Dublin based client is looking for qualified a Project Manager to help with a new Tender process for the company. The role will work with the business and IT Stakeholders.

Job Summary:

Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager for a project that will initially go for 9 months with a proven track record in managing Requests for Information (RFIs) and Tender processes. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of the RFI/Tender process. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of projects, from initial RFI/Tender stages through to project completion which involves working with stakeholders in legal/ Commercial/ Product Development and Technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the RFI/Tender process, including coordinating with various stakeholders, understanding client requirements, and preparing comprehensive RFI/Tender responses.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure timely and successful completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, procurement, and legal departments to gather necessary information and resources for RFIs/Tenders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout project execution.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project risks and issues.
  • Monitor project progress, identify deviations from plans, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiencies, and optimize resource utilization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5-8 years) in project management, with a focus on managing RFIs/Tenders in industries such as construction, engineering, or technology.
  • Strong understanding of RFI/Tender processes, including document preparation, submission, evaluation, and negotiation.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Jira.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable
