Job Description

My Financial Services Client is looking for a Senior Project Manager based in Navan

  • This is a senior role, reporting directly to the Head of Change & IT
  • Deliver allocated projects to Time/Cost and Scope targets
  • Create consolidated view across projects to deliver programme of work where necessary
  • Adhere to industry standards and best practice for project delivery
  • Contribute to the Change team and PMO methodologies


  • Create Project /Programme Management plans across Time, Cost, Scope, Resource, Risk, Cost, Communication and Quality
  • Define project/programme resource needs and work with executives and business leaders to ensure resource availability
  • Determine project delivery budget and ensure close change management to ensure delivery within budget
  • Ensure adequate, robust governance is put in place at all levels project delivery
  • Create accurate and effective management information (MI) on delivery status

Efficiency and Effectiveness

  • Proactively manage risks and issues through accurate and timely identification, mitigation, and closure
  • Assignment and effective management of tasks to completion
  • Ability to manage competing objectives and prioritise tasks
  • Clear, concise and accurate reporting, both verbal and written

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • 3rd level qualification in a technology or financial services related discipline
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Experience of project / programme management, and/or of implementing IT solutions and / or business transformation
  • 5+ years’ experience managing large complex projects delivering business and IT transformation
  • 7+ years of project management experience in a technical or financial services area
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to understand complex issues to determine clear and effective solutions
  • Ability to ramp-up quickly, becoming established as the go-to project manager within a short period
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills – ability to work effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Third party vendor management experience from RFI, contract negotiation, development & implementation across timelines, cost, and scope delivery
  • Experience of managing multiple stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
  • People management experience an advantage
  • Strong systems integration experience
  • PMP certified or similar qualification advantageous
