Job Description
My client are looking for a Project Manager to join their Research and Development team. Excellent opportunity with a well established Irish company
Job Responsibilities
- Manage a variety of projects that are related to Product Development. This will involve the coordination of Internal resources and third parties / contractors for the execution and delivery of the work for such projects
- Ensure that the projects under your management are delivered on-time and within budget
- Developing project scopes and objectives and involving all the relevant stakeholders on the feasibility.
- Working with the Product Owners, and the Product architecture group to setout the projects and deliver them
- Ensure resource availability, allocation of such resources and proper management of the team.
- Develop a detailed project plan so the progress can be correctly tracked
- Use and execute appropriate controls to manage any changes in the project scope, schedule and costs they arise
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to your manager and management any issues as they arise
- Manage and build good working relationships with the client and all stakeholders engaged
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related field
- Proven working experience as a project Manager in the software development sector
- Hands-on experience in software development and web technologies from a commercial setting
- Must have 5+ years working as a Project Manager
- Commercial awareness and an ability to contribute to the financial success of a project and the company
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent client facing and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- PMP / PRINCE II certification is desirable
