Job Description
My Dublin based client is looking for a Programme Manager, to lead and develop IT programmes that deliver strategic change initiatives to the business.
Job Responsibilities
- Deploy and lead major and complex projects/programmes
- Manage cross-functional teams, including internal and external resources
- Lead project teams to understand the project goals and to complete project objectives
- Understand and manage project scope to deliver within the time and cost restraints, ensuring the process will be executed as designed, as well as identifying and communicating gaps
- Analyse and oversee project detail while simultaneously aligning the ‘big picture’ programme priorities with the priorities of the company and customer.
- Develop and execute multiple strategic priorities and approaches to meet objectives and deliver results
- Supplier and Contract Management – ensure company suppliers meet project delivery milestones and manage IT contracts with suppliers in conjunction with the Vendor Management Office (VMO)
- Working with the CMO Team to evolve delivery methodologies and build excellence in change management
- Assisting with goal development and coaching of project managers to enable the growth of the team
Experience Required
- 8+ years in project and programme management roles
- Proven track record in project delivery and exceeding customer expectations
- Working knowledge and experience with Waterfall, Agile Methodologies and Lean Six Sigma
- Experienced in guiding projects of varying sizes from ideation through to delivery and benefits tracking with accountability for all phases of the project lifecycle
- Previous experience in Business Change Management and Project Portfolio Management

- Excellent communicator, comfortable managing the expectations of customers as well as senior management and internal technical staff
- Strategic and analytical thinker
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills, an ability to create, communicate and support a common vision and direction
Educational Requirements
- Third Level degree within the IT Field or relevant qualification
- Project management qualification (PMP, Prince 2 etc.) and/or Agile qualification (Scrum.org, SAFe, ICAgile, Agile PM etc.) is desirable
