Production Support Development Lead

Overview

My client based off the outskirts of Dublin are recruiting for a Production Support Development Lead to join the existing team. This role would suit anyone living in Louth, Meath, Offaly, and Kildare direction.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team and providing business and technical support for the group and implementing system updates and releases.

• Manage a team comprising a cross skilled matrix of SQL based developers, application support and business analysts to ensure that excellent customer service is consistently delivered and that KPIs are achieved.
• Identify and manage resources ensuring that the team members are always working on our clients’ priorities and value-add activities
• Triage of Incidents and Change Requests raised on the Helpdesk
• Analysing problems, including root cause analysis
• Communication with other system support teams
• Defining possible solutions/ rectification
• Liaising with 3rd party Supplier for system fixes and changes

Skills and Experience

• Testing and implementing scripts and code/data fixes
• Prioritise requirements with user community and suppliers
• Help define requirements based on business and system knowledge
• Release management
• Lead SIT, regression testing and UAT support activities to ensure data patches and software delivered are fit for production
• System performance testing
• 3rd level qualification, ideally in Computer Science
• Previous experience of leading a team and technical delivery •
• Excellent customer service and communication skills  Financial Services experience
• Knowledge of unit linked products an advantage
• Programming, database administration an advantage
• Knowledge of incident, problem and change management within the ITIL framework
• Experience of utilising SQL, structured testing and automated testing tools
• Effective solution provider and experience in managing both internal and 3rd party relationships
