Product Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Insights Driven and uncompromisingly customer focused;
• Use customer insight to ensure a deep understand of customers’ problems, define the correct priorities to tackle and create a clear brief;
• Use data to inform decision-making and uncover new product opportunities;
• Understand the competitive landscape and industry trends and use this understanding to identify sustainable competitive advantages;
• Document prioritization decisions and create roadmaps;
• Have a stubborn focus on understanding, refining and articulating the problem (or opportunity) your team is solving and ensure the team around you are oriented around the problem and able to explain it too;
•  Ship the ​whole​ customer experience, this includes working across the business (e.g. collaborating with UX, marketing, sales, customer service etc);
• Ship to learn​, identify the biggest assumptions and risks to build clear hypotheses for learning;
• Drive a consistent shipping cadence. But it’s not just the speed at which you ship, it’s also the quality of the product. You hold yourself accountable to the customer and business impact of your work;
• Strategic you set strategy and influence others to think big about where we are headed and how we will get there;
• Responsible for roadmap creation;
• Take in a range of inputs and perspectives and clarify and prioritize problem focus areas for the team;
• Can clearly rationalize and articulate why we are pursuing one set of priorities versus another;
• Responsible for driving this alignment across teams & stakeholders; and
• Evangelize the product management method across the business.

Experience Required

• Excellent communication skills facilitating the building of strong cross functional relationships and use the available expertise and experience to good effect;
• A third level qualification in IT, Product Management or equivalent.;
• A minimum of 3 years relevant user experience in mobile and web applications in a Digital Commerce/Retail environment with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions in previous digital projects. Working knowledge of front-end web technologies (HTML5, CSS, etc.);
• Experience of working in agile teams;
• Experience managing external agencies and internal teams and are passionate about customer experience and making life simpler with technology; and
• Skilled in project management, has an ability to deliver to tight deadlines while ensuring the customer needs is not forgotten.
