Power BI Developer

The Opportunity:

My client is looking for a strong business intelligence developer (Power BI, Tableau) to urgently join their team on a permanent basis. The role offers a position within a company which boasts an impressive vision to further expand their already extensive global reach. The successful candidate is wanted to fill a new permanent role to fuel the innovative business solutions required to facilitate further company growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate in a dynamic environment to deliver BI solutions to meet complex needs of the business
• Become a subject matter expert on the client website/ interface
• Prepare, develop and release new versions of the client interface/ system
• Maintain, manage and support existing Business Intelligence tools and systems

Experience Required

• Strong Reporting/ Power BI/ Tableau experience is essential for this role
• Experience utilising relational databases for BI
• Experience analysing complex data sets
• Ability to use both data warehousing tools and ETL/ELT tools
• Proven expertise in designing data visualisations
• Experience working within an agile environment
• Knowledge of and experience with Jira & Confluence
• Experience with Microsoft 365
• Experience collaborating with colleagues in a team environment
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a group
• Fantastic communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively between colleagues of differing levels of technical ability
• Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed

Educational Requirements

• Third level degree from a recognised institute
