Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a Payroll Officer to join their accountancy team in South Dublin. This role is on a hybrid basis after 2 months.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end weekly/monthly payroll for UK & Ireland employees, including processing amendments like expenses, pension contributions, sick leave, and holiday pay.
  • Execute weekly payment runs and generate payroll reports for management.
  • Address all payroll-related inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Handle payroll setup for new hires and process leaver information.
  • Keep payroll data up to date, including rate changes and compliance with payroll legislation.
  • Support continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems.
  • Provide assistance with HR administrative tasks and ensure adherence to employee legislation.

Experience Required

  • Demonstrated proficiency in payroll administration, with a strong preference for an IPASS qualification.
  • 3+ years of payroll experience
  • Expertise in payroll software like Megapay, SAGE Cloud, and Micropay, with a deep understanding of payroll processes, statutory regulations, and benefits administration.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, deadline-oriented, with robust analytical abilities and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels and fostering teamwork.
  • Experience in managing payroll for over 50 employees is preferred, with UK payroll experience and an IPASS or similar qualification being advantageous but not mandatory.

Educational Requirements

  • IPASS or CIPD Qualification desirable

Working Hours & Benefits

  • 37.5-hour work week.
  • Hybrid working model after 2 months.
