Job Description
My client is actively recruiting an Oracle EBS Technical Lead to join their team on an initial 6 month contract.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead on the activities related to non-functional aspects of the implementation.
- Will also take a lead on ensuring that reporting requirements are fulfilled taking ownership of delivery (through the line management of the reporting lead) having been provided with requirements from the business via the functional consultants and business leads.
- Responsible for ensuring that the end to end system architecture and integrations meet the requirements and need of the project and is responsible for delivery.
- Support the delivery of any technical aspects relating to the data migration process with support from the functional teams and the Data Lead.
- Manage the partners assigned to develop and build integrations and reports.
- Ensure infrastructure is in place and manage for the duration of the project the e-business suite environments.
- Detailed project planning and management of the deliverable under the technical workstream (Integrations & Reporting).
- Lead on the activities related to non-functional aspects of the implementation.
- Ensure non-functional delivery is completed in compliance with company technical standards and strategies.
- Reporting to Project Manager on the progress of deliverables within their scope, highlighting all relevant RAIDs and working alongside project manager to get resolution.
- Line management of the Integration & Reporting leads, matrix management of the DBA’s (provided by 3rd party partner)
- Preparing status reports and supportive content for governance meetings as set out in the governance structure.
- Overall responsibility (supported by DBA’s) for ensuring all environments are patched and updated as appropriate.
- Oversee the process of the creation of specifications for development work (interfaces, reports and migrations) to ensure they are completed correctly by the relevant owners.
- Act as the first reviewer after the relevant lead (Integration, Reporting)
- Ensure Change Management related to technology development and deployment is implemented & controlled throughout the project.
- Manage the partners assigned to develop and build integrations and reports (and technical aspects of data migration if applicable).
- Take ownership of the EBS tech stack for the duration of the project, review current capabilities and advise on where changes are needed. Implement and take ownership of environment management supported by assigned DBA’s.
- Creation and management of project environment strategy and plan.
- Lead on the gathering of the As-is and definition of the to-be for the end to end system architecture
- Work with IT teams to ensure EBS is correctly and suitably hosted / supported as part of the Target Operating Model.
- Responsible for ensuring that the end to end system architecture and integrations meet the requirements and need of the project.
- Create a change management process (if required) as part of the Target Operating Model.
- Work alongside Process / Solution Architect, Functional Consultants, Work stream leads and key stakeholders to develop and agree a global reporting strategy.
- Work with Project Manager Change Lead and Process Architect to create a proposed TOM including system support (with a focus on the non-functional aspects)
Experience Required
- Extensive Experience of the technical aspects of Oracle EBS R12 delivery / implementations. (Including Integrations & reporting)
- Experience of ERP delivery to multi -national settings.
- Experience of dealing with stakeholders at all levels up to CxO level.
- Advising and guiding senior management through the complex technical aspects of an Oracle EBS implementation.
- Experience of managing delivery from a 3rd party / partner.
- Working with multi-national and multi-cultural teams.
Essential and Desirable Skills
- Deep technical understanding of Oracle EBS R12 environments and technology.
- Can manage deliverables from both directly managed resources and external parties.
- Project planning and management of non-functional aspects of Oracle EBS ERP delivery in an R12 setting.
- Excellent all-round understanding of how to approach the design build and test of integrations and reports.
- Can manage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Understanding of how to deliver technical support for data migration within an Oracle EBS Environment.
- Strong team player and excellent at working with leadership to ensure cross functional working as part of building a ‘one team’ approach both within the project and beyond.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
- Consultative in nature, advising and guiding senior stakeholders and leadership where required.
- Strong presentation skills both written and verbal. Can clearly articulate points with understanding and clarity.
