Oracle E-Business Developer

About this role

My North Dublin based client is seeking an Oracle Applications e-Business Developer who will specialize in providing a high level of technical and functional support expertise related to Oracle e-Business Suite modules. The primary function of this role is to assist in the support and development of the R12 Oracle E-Business suite and the successful candidate must have a strong working knowledge of all Oracle e-Business modules. The role holder will work with Oracle Support to resolve any technical bugs and functional issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical solution delivery & Oracle applications expertise
• Provide input into the technology plan and ensure that plans for assigned applications integrate & upgrade effectively
• Validate customizations and recode where necessary
• Work with Oracle Support to resolve core product bugs
• Provide second & third level support across all Oracle e-Business modules
• Work closely with peers and service groups to ensure on-time execution of all deliverables
• Produce documented application processes & support documentation
• Maximize utilization of ERP applications core functionality and simplify customizations
• Work with client users to evaluate / improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost-effective solutions
• Participate in the evaluation / implementation of third party software solutions
• Project Manage and Report on own workload to agreed plan

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in a functional/technical role on Oracle e-Business Suite 12i
• Strong knowledge of eBusiness Modules
• In-depth knowledge in providing solutions in the e-Business Suite Applications
• Strong knowledge of business process and how to integrate with IT solutions
• 5+ years SQL & PL/SQL development experience
• Knowledge of Shell Scripting required
• Oracle Discoverer Admin & User
• Oracle workflow experience
• Oracle AIM methodology experience
• ITIL foundation certification
• Strong Technical skills in SQL; PL/SQL; Reports 6i; Workflow Builder & XML Publisher
• Strong knowledge of how Oracle E-Business applications interact with the database
• Demonstrated system administration knowledge
