Job Description

My Dublin City Centre based client is looking for an Oracle DBA to join their existing team.

About this role

  • Administration and maintenance of all Oracle applications and databases for installation, deployment, performance tuning, patching, cloning, backups, system administration, upgrades, mirroring and replication
  • Implement system enhancements to improve usability and performance
  • Develop and deliver process improvements
  • Liaise with clients in relation to their use of Oracle Applications
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Communicate and work in synergy with teams on a global scale
  • Participate in an on call rota

Required skills for the Oracle Database Administrator

  • Degree qualified with a minimum of 5 year’s experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
  • Proficient working across Oracle databases and applications 10g, 11g and 12c
  • Expert skills in installation/configuration, patching, troubleshooting, performance tracking/tuning, back-up/recovery, remote monitoring skills with hands-on experience on large and very dynamic environments
  • Working knowledge of Exadata is a definite advantage
  • Strong experience with monitoring RMAN backups using RAC
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
