Operational Risk Analyst

My Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for an Operational Risk Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will be working off a hybrid model. The Risk Analyst will work closely with the Operational Risk Manager. The Risk Analyst will be responsible for conducting monitoring and testing of controls across the business and will input into the development & maintenance of the risk registers. The Risk Analyst will also support the implementation & enhancement of an Enterprise Risk Management framework to achieve consistency around the execution of Risk activities and will support the collation of periodic management information around monitoring, testing and other relevant operational risk activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversight & Execution
• Perform risk-based point in time assessment & testing per the annual testing plan
• You will manage the process for monitoring & following up on Op Risk recommendations & treatment plans to resolve issues & improve processes
• Review key reports & metrics to monitor compliance with standards, policies & regulations
• Timely & accurate reporting of the Operational risks to managers & stakeholders e.g. Operations, Clients
• You will input into the implementation of regulatory & operational risk control standards
• Document risks, validate through testing the company wide risk & control self-assessment process & monitor the progress of treatment plans across the business
• Reporting
• Preparing reports of identified operational & regulatory issues (external & internal stakeholders)
• Advisory & third parties
• You will provide support & practical assistance to functional management to understand & manage regulatory operational and enterprise risk
• Input to any new business development as required
• Team Development
• Ability to work in a team environment with the objective of achieving the goals of the Operational Risk team

Experience Required

• Previous experience in an Operational Risk role or similar preferred
• Previous experience of undertaking a role that requires strong attention to detail
• Strong cross-functional experience either in-house or externally in a financial services environment preferred
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of regulatory and operational risks influencing the Irish credit sector along with strong credit skills

Essential and Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of business functions and systems relevant to financial services, (desirable)
• Previous experience liaising with Regulators (desirable)

Educational Requirements

3rd level education to Degree in an economic or numerical discipline and/or relevant professional qualifications
