My Dublin based client is looking for a Node.js Developer to join their team.
Job Responsibilities
- Delivery excellent working software as part of a multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed software development team;
- Create a supportive and rewarding working environment that aligns with the company culture as well as instilling a sense of ownership, accountability and technical excellence in your team driving efficient processes and constantly push engineering best practice;
- Partner with cross functional experts across the organisation on a variety of different projects ranging from consumer facing features to backend functionality;
- Monitor efficiency of resource use and understand the costs
- Understand customer and business needs;
- Regular progress reporting, defining and reporting KPIs and OKR metrics including helping your teams define, drive and achieve their objectives and key results; and
- Estimate projects and features, working closely with technical and business teams at each stage of the development lifecycle
Experience Required
- 2+ years of hands on Node.js experience;
- Strong motivational and people skills, helping team members to excel in a culture of collaboration and openness;
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
- Expert at designing, implement and delivering software in cross functional teams in an agile environment ensuring high quality and on-time consistent delivery of products and features;
- Able to deliver objectives assigned to you and your teams with a strong sense of urgency;
- Always maintain a high bar of quality and have pride in doing work well to high engineering standards;
- Drive change and innovation in a pragmatic and effective way to meet the needs of the business;
- Communicate clearly and with purpose, working effectively with team members and stakeholders across the organisation;
- Take ownership of your work and responsibility for outcomes delivering key projects; and
- Adaptable working in a heterogeneous technical environment working including NodeJS, Typescript, GCP services, JavaScript. You don’t need all these or to be an expert, but it is expected that you be technically highly competent.
