My Dublin City Centre client is recruiting for a Network Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will be operating on a hybrid model. The Network Engineer will operate, support & maintain multiple locations and Vendor Solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- You will build & operate Office Local Area Network infrastructure, firewalls, switches, routers, WAPs across a number of global sites.
- You will work with key Managed Service Suppliers to maintain & operate a secure, highly available/fault tolerant Network Infrastructure designed to meet 24/7 Business Operations;
- You will maintain & operate centralised network services – e.g., monitoring, AAA, configuration management, log collection.
- You will implement network changes as required e.g., firewall rules, IPsec VPN , SSL-VPN for remote access, Web Filtering, DHCP.
- You will assist in identifying & implementing continuous improvements to ensure the network infrastructure meets the business requirements.
- You will maintain & operate Wireless Access control, Network security, secure configuration of network devices.
- You will complete reviews of Firewall Rules, Web Filtering & Application Layer Protections.
- Use log analysis for network issue troubleshooting;
- Firewall product support across vendor e.g., Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, VMWare NSX.
- You will participate in selection/evaluation/deployment of new Network methodologies and technologies as required by business needs.
Experience Required
- Min 5 years recent operational Level 2 or 3 network engineer experience supporting business critical networks.
- Have you hands on experience with at least 2 of the following;
- Firewalling – e.g., Fortinet v6.0+, Checkpoint R80, Cisco ASA
- VMWare NSX
- Routing/switching
- Wireless networking
- Experience with Centralized Networks Management Products (e.g., Fortinet Security Fabric, Fortimanager firewall policy management)
- Experience of IPsec VPNs and SSL-VPN; experience of dynamic routing protocols e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
- Good experience in complex problem solving & troubleshooting of network services and systems integration.
- Fortinet experience (eg Fortigate, Fortiswitch, Fortimanager, Forticlient) or a willingness to train on Fortinet.
Essential and Desirable Skills
- Min 5 years recent operational Level 2 or 3 network engineer experience supporting business critical networks.

Educational Requirements
Ideally CCNP certified /equivalent vendor certification or equivalent skills and experience
