Job Description
Our Dublin based client is recruiting for an experienced Network Engineer to join their team in the role of Global Network Lead. Amazing opportunity to lead the Networking function on a global scale.
Job Responsibilities
- Be involved in the Innovation, design and maintenance of the organization’s IT network infrastructure.
- Perform regular network maintenance duties as aligned with schedules and company requirements.
- Be in consultation with Architects and business collaborators to determine the engineering scope and priority of projects.
- You will need to have a hands-on attitude and approach for giving advise on technical and security approaches and implementation capacity.
- Be capable of providing guidance and best practices for the development, implementation, installation, and operation of the network engineering architecture for the organization.
- Takes part in negotiations and contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products.
- Network monitoring, strong analytical and reporting skills and advanced troubleshooting required.
Experience Required
- Working knowledge of DMZs, and 3-Tier Architecture.
- Working knowledge and understanding of LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VRF, QOS, Route policies, VLAN, and IPSec.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Operating Systems, DNA and ISE.
- Experience in installation and maintenance of Big IP LTM, APM and WAF is a must.
- Experience installing, configuring and maintaining wireless network equipment, network management and security.
- Experience with network management and zero touch deployments tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
- Must have hands-on experience with Cisco ASAs and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Ideally have experience with AWS
- Strong technical leadership of a global team with various cultures
- Track record of delivering value in an agile environment
Educational Requirements
- Bachelors in Engineering or Computer Science
- 8-10 years’ of relevant work experience.
- If you have a good mix of education and work experience that will be considered.
- CCNP certification required or equivalent work experience
