Job Description
My leading Financial Services client looking for a Lead Architect, responsible for developing and governing the architecture that implements the vision and roadmap for the Data Protection Programme.
Job Responsibilities
- Certify alignment with and/or contribute to the development and definition of the Data Protection architecture
- Contribute to the development of the roadmap, defining the steps required to deliver the Data Protection Strategy
- Develop and/or contribute to reference and solution architectures (transitions and targets) including developing the fully integrated end-to-end architecture for the programme
- Contribute to the Total Cost of Ownership of the architectural change
- Support and manage various design workstreams
- Maintain oversight and govern the project architecture, verify, and evidence alignment with strategy, standards, principals.
- Support the collection of architecture metrics/data on the project to facilitate IT Strategy and Architecture reporting
The Lead Data Protection architect will develop and/or contribute to following architectural artefacts;
- Architecture Vision
- Architecture Summary
- ARB Solution Architecture
- Data Protection Patterns
- Data Protection Product lifecycle
- Update to Infrastructure Standards with respect to Data Protection elements
Experience Required
- Senior level experience in a similar role
- Enterprise data protection and cyber resilience solution architecture
- Previous experience in development of patterns, practices and standards for data protection technology
- Working knowledge of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF
- Track record of use of ITIL Service Management Framework
- Knowledge of Cloud based vault and recovery technologies, AWS preferable
- Strong knowledge of Storage and Data Protection technologies i.e. Continuous Data Protection, Copy Data Management, Vaulting, Archival, SnapShots, Database backup and recovery etc.
- DELL Data Protection and Cyber Recovery technologies
- Familiarity with TSM, Spectrum Protect

- User tailored communication techniques e.g. Visualization to share strategy, roadmap, landscape knowledge, challenges, options and complex technical concepts with stakeholders
- Be an ambassador for Group IT, influencing stakeholders, colleagues and peers internally and external to Group IT
Educational Requirements
- Third Level Degree or equivalent experience in similar role
