Lead Data and BI Engineer

Our Dublin City Based Client is looking for an experience and hands on Data and BI Specialist who has expertise around Developing, designing, and architecting end to end solutions. This client offers an excellent benefits package and a hybrid model of 2 days on site and 3 days from home. This is a permanent position within a growing and busy team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide technical strategic direction.
• Manage the Data architecture and identify areas of improvement and potential growth to support the business.
• Previous experience working on large-scale solution architecture projects.
• Manage and Work along side the Data and BI Team members at all levels.
• Knowledge of DevOpps principles including CI/CD Practises.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Problem Solving capabilities a must have.
• Proven experience in a position of Architectural leadership
• A well-rounded knowledge of industry standards relating to data and BI to include ETL, Data modelling.

Skills required:

• 7+ years’ experience in a similar Data and Analytics position
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management/leadership position
• Knowledge of AWS platform (Azure also acceptable)
• Excellent knowledge of SQL
• Previous exposure to Database tools such as Redshift, Teradata, or snowflake
• Prior experience utilising Power BI (or similar tools) for building solutions
• Knowledge of Python and containerisation tools such as Docker or Kubernetes would be desirable.

Education:

• 3^rd level Degree in a Data related field from a recognised institution
