Job Description
One of Ireland leading Fintech companies is looking for Lead Cloud Engineer. They will pay an attractive salary and car allowance for the right person.
This is a Senior Grade level role and will offer someone the role of working and leading the Cloud strategy for a large enterprise level organisation with over 2500 users in Ireland. The role will be a flexible hybrid work model.
Job Responsibilities:
- Designing scalable and resilient systems on the cloud
- Involved in building of new applications for the cloud as well as assisting in the migration of existing applications to the cloud
- Selecting suitable Cloud service based on requirements both functional and non-functional
- Identifying and implementing Public Cloud best practices in relation to the business’s needs
- Identify approximate public cloud costs and attempt to recognize areas in which savings can be made
- As a technical leader, you are responsible for integration and cooperation between various internal teams to meet the business’s demands
- Constantly striving to design and develop improve systems and service
- Work alongside the engineering and operations team to solicit input on CCP requirements
- Cost/ benefit modelling with mapping to business KPI’s
Experience/skills Required:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience developing cloud-based products for deployments in the public cloud. (Azure, AWS etc)
- Expertise on AWS Cloud technologies: Designing solutions utilizing AWS features
- Good experience with AWS Security such as compliance, cloud security architecture and third-party security tools/ platforms
- Working knowledge of tools such as Cloud formation, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell
- Ability to influence team members and lead in technical discussions around architectural and design guidelines and code reviews
- Ability to effectively communicate with all members at various levels of the organisation
- Excellent software engineering background including design, development and testing
- Proven track record of working in an Agile/ SCRUM environment
- Requirement, Design, Code review and inspections practices experience
- Experience in development processes as well as QA Processes like test plans, functional, end to end automation, performance and security testing
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud are beneficial
Education Requirements:
- 3rd level qualification in relevant field
