Job Description

My South Dublin based client is looking for a Junior Developer who has a strong interest in Cloud computing.

You will join a team of great people, likewise motivated by working with great technologies.

As a Junior Java Software Engineer, you will take an active role in the development and automated deployment of our products, configuration management (Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines, learn and use technologies such as AWS, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes and other tools

Job Responsibilities

  • Join an agile development team and work alongside experienced engineers to help develop and build world-class solutions
  • Participation in and contribution to all stages of the development lifecycle
  • In-role training on using the tools, techniques and best practices
  • Demonstrable Java coding standards
  • In-role training on using the tools, techniques and best practices

Experience Required

  • 1 year plus industry experience in Java Development
  • Exposure to cloud technologies: AWS, Azure ect
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • A knowledge of CI / CD, Release Management, Application Development

Educational Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or similar
