My South Dublin client is looking for a Junior Application Support Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.

My South Dublin client is looking for a Junior Application Support Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. My client is a financial services organisation that is offering a great opportunity for a junior IT professional to kick-start their career.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6-12 months’ experience providing technical support for IT applications who is confident in SQL scripting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build, code, and maintain a range of documentation systems
  • Provide Level 1-2 support for systems and EDI processing
  • Assist with system testing, updates, and enhancements
  • Create and manage reports
  • Batch processing of internal and external files
  • Contribute to strict version control and adherence to procedures
  • Take part in training and learning new systems and applications

Experience Required

  • Minimum 6-12 months’ experience in a technical support / application support role
  • Experience in SQL scripting and reporting
  • Proven track record of providing technical support and troubleshooting
  • Experience working in Financial Services industry would be highly desirable

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • SQL skills – Essential
  • Excel, VB, Macros skills
  • Customer service software (e.g. Zendesk)
  • Project software (e.g. Jira)
  • MS Dynamics NAV / Business Central – Desirable, not essential

Educational Requirements

  • Third level degree or certification in IT, Computer Science, or another related field
