Job Description

My Dublin-based client has a contract opportunity for a Java / J2EE Developer to join at a busy period of growth for them.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement highly technical solutions to solve business problems.
  • Get involved in the entire development process from requirement gathering and designing to debugging and maintenance.
  • Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to drive high quality and timely service delivery.
  • Utilise your expertise to recommend best practices in accordance with industry standard.

Experience Required

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a Java / J2EE development role.
  • Strong working knowledge of a variety of full stack technologies such as: Hibernate, Spring, relational databases (Oracle or SQL), REST, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Exposure to Cloud services such as AWS and Azure.

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • Strong understanding of the design & build phase of the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and technologies quickly.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passionate about solving complex technical and business problems.

Educational Requirements

  • Third level degree in Computer Science or a related field.
