Due to ongoing expansion, they are currently looking for experienced a J2EE developer to join their high-energy Engineering department.  This is an excellent opportunity for a J2EE developer to work with an innovative and stable company designing and developing cutting edge software solutions for the global financial services market.

The successful J2EE Developer will create design and functional specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement complex modules with minimal supervision
• Progress component design through development, testing, documentation and delivery
• Review design, functional specifications and code developed by other team members
• Create and review test plans and test tools
• Participate in continuous process improvements
• Install and deliver developed applications to customer sites

Skills needed

• The J2EE developer will have a relevant degree, a minimum of 4 years’ industry experience
• Virtualization, Cloud-based Applications, Amazon AWS, VM-ware, EC-2
• Strong Java and OO skills
• Agile development methods including SCRUMs and SPRINTs
• Standard OO design patterns
• ORM frameworks such as Hibernate
• RDBMS encompassing schema design
• PL/SQL having used: MySQL, Oracle, PostGreSQL
• Spring Core Framework including Spring web flow, Spring MVC
• Maven and continuous integration tools such as Hudson
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Full software development lifecycles
• Software quality processes
• Linux/Unix platform
