IT Wintel Infrastructure Engineer

My Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for a Wintel Infrastructure Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will be working on a hybrid model. The Wintel Infrastructure Engineer will provide support for key infrastructures & applications in a cloud environment which will include on- premises, Office365 and Azure. The candidate must have the technical knowledge of business application functions in an operating environment.

Job Responsibilities

Specific areas of expertise in some of the following:

• Operating system(s).
• Agents/instrumentation.
• Systems management, backups & monitoring.
• Security configuration/hardening.
• Web platform administration.
• Automation/scripting and application technical stacks.
• Installation, configuration, maintenance & support of infrastructure, applications & systems.
• You will interact with Security, IT Management on 1st/2nd Level Application Support, & external service providers to coordinate & resolve incidents.
• Offer expertise within the team for the resolution of all technical incidents & problems.
• You will develop & extend system management & monitoring solutions within the growing environment.

Experience Required

• In depth knowledge, understanding and expertise including but not limited to:
• Microsoft Server & Desktop technologies, Group Policy/Intune MDM.
• Office365/Azure Services, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams.
• VMware Data Centre Virtualisation, vSphere ESXi, vCenter, SRM.
• Veeam technologies: Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam One, Veeam Backup for O365 and Veeam Availability Orchestrator.
• System Management and monitoring solutions.
• Strong background supporting application delivery frameworks including .Net Framework, Java and IIS, Apache, Tomcat.
• Strong knowledge & experience with Microsoft PowerShell scripting.

Essential and Desirable Skills
