Job Description
My South Dublin based client is looking for an experienced IT Vendor Manager to join their team on a 11 month Fixed Term Contract basis
Job Responsibilities
- Ensuring all Vendor Management activities are carried out to meet customer service levels
- Develop and maintain a relationship with selected suppliers and establishing a documented arrangement between the customers and the suppliers
- Work with a Global team to build a new Management function
- Work closely with procurement to ensure the implementation of appropriate procurement strategies
- Work with the procurement and finance teams to ensure vendor commercials are delivering the most cost effective solution for the client
- Perform regular reviews and draw up reports
- Conduct annual supplier risk analysis and develop action plans to minimise exposure
- Identify vendors that are not providing an acceptable level of service and work with the vendor to ensure a service improvement plan is delivered to restore service levels
Experience Required
- 3-5 years practical experience in IT Vendor management functions
- Demonstrated thorough understanding of business priorities and business risks
- Proven ability to interpret complex information and provide informed analysis
- Excellent communication skills
- Broad technical awareness and understanding of the core technology in use
Essential and Desirable Skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and a high level of attention to detail
- Commercial awareness and willing to challenge if required
- Ability to work in collaboration with external service providers, building and developing effective service providers relationships
Educational Requirements
- Professional qualification in Procurement / Vendor Management
