Job Description

IT Systems Administrator with Top Financial Services Company available now.

The Senior Administrator will be responsible for the following:

Provide third line support to a wide range of applications, systems and network infrastructure within the company.

User Support & Helpdesk

  • Analysing problems, including root cause analysis
  • Communication with other system support teams
  • Defining possible solutions/rectification
  • Liaising with third party suppliers
  • Effective and timely communication with all involved parties



  • Monitoring of Helpdesk queues, triage and the timely resolution of support issues and calls
  • Escalation of calls to Team Leader/Manager or external support providers as required

Active Directory

  • Excellent knowledge of Active Directory including User, Group and Group Policy Management

Microsoft Exchange

  • Excellent knowledge of Exchange 2013/2016 on Premise, Hybrid and/or Cloud

Desktop Support

  • Recent relevant exposure/experience of computer image build and deployment systems
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows 7/10, Office 2013/2016, Office 365 or On Premise

Information Security

  • Recent relevant exposure/experience of enterprise protection solutions i.e. Symantec, Sophos
  • Recent relevant exposure/experience of patch management technologies i.e. WSUS
  • Recent relevant exposure/experience of enterprise management solutions i.e. ManageEngine, GFI • Recent relevant exposure/experience of network vulnerability solutions i.e. Qualys, Nessus


  • Excellent knowledge of DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP Networking


  • Excellent team working abilities


  • Prioritise helpdesk calls

• Time managing BAU and projects


  • 5+ years’ experience in an ITIL based Helpdesk system
  • Strong Active Directory skills • Extensive experience supporting Windows 7/10, Office 2013/2016, Office 365 or On Premise
  • Effective and timely communication with all involved parties
  • The ability to work in a team and on their own initiative
  • Strong customer service ethos and troubleshooting ability.
  • Eagerness to improve, learn and contribute
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Capable of following and composing process and procedure documentation


  • Exposure to IP Phone systems
  • Exposure to VMWare
  • Exposure to Cisco Firewalls and Switches
  • SQL knowledge
  • Systems security knowledge
  • Infrastructure project management and implementation

Desired Qualifications

  • Cisco Certified, MCSE Certified, CISSP
