Job Description

Our Dublin based client is seeking a dynamic and skilled IT Support Specialist to support their IT Department by managing and supporting the Moodle Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve Moodle-related queries and provide technical support for the platform.
  • Develop and deliver training and technical documentation for Moodle users.
  • Offer daily operational support and issue resolution to key stakeholders.
  • Advise on best practices for Moodle site and course structures to optimise online learning.
  • Assist administrative staff with managing Moodle courses, accounts, and tools.
  • Support projects with future upgrades, backups, and the preservation of Moodle content.
  • Oversee course management tasks including updating course properties, creating courses, enrolling users, and managing groups
  • Monitor and evaluate system effectiveness in meeting user needs.
  • Collaborate with end-user support services for system rollout, issue resolution, and enhancement of user experience.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in developing and administering Moodle LMS.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, client-server environments, system security, authentication protocols, disaster recovery, and IT service lifecycle.
