Job Description

My Dublin-based client has an excellent opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join a growing team with a friendly and supportive work culture.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the technical support related incidents in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Handle escalated issues to ensure they are resolved or worked to the customer’s satisfaction in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Play an active role in the Support Helpdesk Ticketing System when required.
  • Follow escalations through to completion ensuring all parties informed.
  • Follow up on outstanding issues and ensuring a timely resolution.
  • Identify areas of risk in order to mitigate those in timely manner.
  • Maintain service delivery performance against targets and customer expectations.
  • Contribute to maximising service delivery by identifying areas of improvement and growth for the business and their clients.
  • Ensure high levels of customer service at all times.
  • Local travel to client site may be required from time to time.

Experience Required

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a technical support environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of Windows Servers.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of network patching, switches and wireless installations.

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to support and communicate with users on all levels.
  • Sound troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Interested in using different technologies and likes being an ‘all-rounder’ in technical support.
  • Self-starter who uses own initiative.
  • Ability to take ownership, organise workload and change priorities quickly.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a larger team.
  • Pleasant, patient and friendly attitude.
  • Desired: Driving licence.

Educational Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in an IT-related discipline.
