Job Description

My Financial Services Client is looking for an IT Service & Support Manager for a Permanent role based in Dublin.

The Service and Support Manager is responsible for the provision of Production Support, Vendor Management and Relationship Management Services to multiple stakeholders both internally and externally. Responsibilities include;

Job purpose & responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the IT team has a clear understanding of the application and device support needs of the business through the negotiation of our Service Catalogue and resulting Service Level Agreements
  • Ensure that we have the resources to support these Service Level Agreements through internal resources or external sourcing of applications and devices and related office technology support
  • Monitor and report on service provided from external suppliers and on service provided to our internal customers
  • Ensure that the team works closely with the business teams on the diagnosis of system issues and in agreeing the most appropriate solution to meet business needs
  • Manage the tracking of reported problems, defects and enhancement requests using the help desk system
  • Responsible for ensuring that work is being done to appropriate standards so that external audits will be passed i.e. ensure procedures are in place and are being followed

Required Qualification & Experience:

  • At least 6-7 years’ IT Applications experience within the insurance sector of which 3-4 years at team leader or manager level
  • Third level related qualification required in IT or a business related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability in implementing technological solutions for enhancing business processes
  • Actively spots new methodologies and opportunities for change.
  • Experience in problem solving, decision making along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of training, mentoring and coaching a team of experienced and newly appointed team members
  • Ability to delegate appropriately while working towards tight deadlines
  • Direct experience dealing with and influencing various stakeholder across the business
