Job Description

IT Service Management-Team Lead required for permanent role with Top Financial Services Company, based in Cork.

Responsibilities of the IT Service Management-Team Lead:

  • Management of the IT Asset Management process
  • Implementation of an ITAM framework, process and control procedures
  • Introduction of a new ITAM toolset to support the processes
  • Collaboration with key business units to progress ITAM best practices
  • Optimisation of Software licences  to reduce software licencing / support costs
  • Management of the hardware asset lifecycle
  • Measurement and reporting of ITAM KPIs
  • Management of Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) initiatives
  • Interacting with user groups to support ITSM initiatives
  • Management and development of our ITSM toolkit
  • Support IT Service Management projects and initiatives
  • Guide and mentor staff to ensure that team members are motivated and enabled to perform to the full extent of their abilities
  • Coordinate direct reports to ensure that each is working to agreed objectives
  • Establish and manage relevant partner relationships in the business and 3rd parties
  • Ensure that Risks are identified and managed in a proactive manner and all work practices and processes are fully compliant with Group policies and its regulatory requirements
  • Ensure Audit actions are prioritised and resolved speedily
  • Ensure that controls within the relevant Internal Control Framework processes are in place, are relevant and tested regularly

Skills required for IT Service Management-Team Lead

  • IT Service Management skills and an understanding of the ITIL framework
  • Knowledge of IT Asset Management concepts, tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of PC and Server configurations
  • Strong communicating skills with proven track record of influencing at senior management level
  • Experience in a financial services IT environment
  • Broad knowledge of IT Service Management and IT Asset Management concepts
  • Self-starter with strong time management and organisational skills with an ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrating flexibility in delivering on project priorities
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage internal and external relationships
  • Leadership and motivation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
