Job Description

My client is looking for an IT Service Management - Team Lead for a top Financial Services company.

What are you expected to do in this Role?

IT Asset Management (ITAM)

  • Management of the IT Asset Management process and control procedures
  • Management of our ITAM toolset (SNOW Licence Manager)
  • Collaboration with key business units to progress ITAM best practices
  • Optimisation of Software licences to reduce software licencing / support costs
  • Management of the hardware asset lifecycle
  • Measurement and reporting of ITAM KPIs

IT Service Management (ITSM)

  • Management of Improvement initiatives
  • Interacting with user groups to support ITSM initiatives
  • Management and development of our ITSM toolkit


  • Guide and mentor staff to ensure that team members are motivated and enabled to perform to the full extent of their abilities
  • Coordinate direct reports to ensure that each is working to agreed objectives
  • Engage in regular two way communication with the team members to ensure open and constructive communications take place
  • Oversee the provision of suitable training for staff to ensure that the required competencies and skill base are in place

Business & Customer

  • Establish and manage relevant partner relationships in the business and with third parties
  • Support the business in the review and development of new initiatives and opportunities
  • Represent Group IT on working groups and focus groups as appropriate
  • Identify opportunities to drive value and efficiencies

Risk & Control

  • Ensure that Risks are identified and managed in a proactive manner and all work practices and processes are fully compliant with Group policies and its regulatory requirements
  • Ensure Audit actions are prioritised and resolved speedily
  • Ensure that controls within the relevant Internal Control Framework processes are in place, are relevant and tested regularly

  • IT Service Management skills and an understanding of the ITIL framework
  • Knowledge of IT Asset Management concepts, tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of PC and Server configurations

  • Ability to work well with teams and build strong working relationships
  • Strong communication & problem solving skills
  1. Content/Technical Knowledge

The successful candidate will have a strong and consistent track record in the following:

  • Broad knowledge of IT Service Management and IT Asset Management concepts
  • Self-starter with strong time management and organisational skills with an ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
