Job Description:

Our client is seeking a strong IT Service Delivery manager who will be responsible for enhancing the continual improvement of application and network services, specifically in Networking, Security, and Infrastructure. Ideally this successful candidate will have both managerial and technical expertise.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a proficient team of technicians, ensuring efficient delivery of system support services.
  • Provide necessary training and guidance to the helpdesk team as needed.
  • Implement and follow key support processes within an ITIL Framework.
  • Cultivate an environment that encourages ongoing service enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain support documentation according to company standards.
  • Ensure delivery of IT services adheres to security best practices.
  • Monitor system and application performance closely.
  • Oversee the help desk management, ensuring SLAs are defined, agreed upon, and met.
  • Take charge of major incidents, ensuring successful resolution, effective communication, and post-incident review.
  • Generate regular, precise management reports on IT Service performance.
  • Configure and maintain the Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) and Local Area Network (LAN).
  • Administer firewalls, switches, routers, and access control.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Management Office and development team to deliver and support bespoke applications and services.
  • Manage the Virtual environment, Networking, and server hardware.
  • Collaborate with the Head of IT on crucial project deliverables and undertake additional duties as necessary throughout the year.

Essential Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • ITIL v3/v4 Foundation certification in Service Management.
  • Profound knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes such as Incident/Problem/Change management.
  • Extensive experience in Stakeholder and Customer Relationship management.
  • Experience in Supplier and Vendor Management.
  • Educational Requirements: A degree in a related discipline or relevant experience.
