Job Description

My top international client is looking for a IT Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

IT Project Manager (CRM)

 My client is embarking on a major strategic project to align CRM processes, standards and technologies across the Group’s five Divisions. The project will seek to align the business’ Front Office Processes to Back Office processes – together with alignment with the Group’s overall Digital Transformation Strategy.  In addition, the programme is responsible for redefining business processes to ensure adherence to industry best practice. This is a complex project involving a combination of internal and external stakeholders and project team members. This includes external companies providing consultancy and development resource – as well as internal resources from both the Group IT Department and key personnel at BU and Divisional level.

A Project Manager is required to coordinate the activities of the different teams and team members – and provide comprehensive reporting to the Executive Stakeholders in the project.

Key accountabilities are:

  • Organizing and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion
  • Business processes definition – Documenting AS-IS and TO BE work flows
  • Developing project plans, goals, and budgets; identifying / organizing resources needed
  • Assembling and coordinating project team members; assigning individual responsibilities
  • Tracking and reporting progress
  • Issue Management
  • Business change – working with local stakeholders to identify business changes as a result of the programme and ensure the changes are fed to the Project Management/ Group Stakeholders network to co-ordinate their delivery through the release
  • Preparing requests for proposals and conducting all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and products
  • Planning and overseeing the preparation and dissemination of project communications.
  • Taking and publishing minutes of meetings and associated action plans
  • Producing project status reports – including executive summaries
  • Interfaces – identify and work with the development stream to specify and develop necessary interfaces, and testing with appropriate 3rd parties or internal teams
  • Training – write detailed training material and undertake end user training


  • A degree level qualification or higher in a relevant discipline.
  • Project Management Qualification  (Prince 2 – Foundation / Practitioner – or other recognised Project Management Qualification)

Essential Skills & Experience :

  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the Front Office, CRM and Sales Processes
  • Experience of implementing CRM Solutions (MS Dynamics CRM, SalesForce, SAP)
  • Experience of Project Managing significant CRM or other IT Projects
  • Ability to review existing business processes and make recommendations for areas of improvement
  • Ability to work with an IT team to turn business requirements into system specifications
  • Handover / knowledge transfer / training to business users
  • Strong written skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas simply
  • PC literate, experience of Microsoft Office especially MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience of presenting on a 1:1 basis and to groups
  • Determined to identify solutions and prepared to overcome obstacles to follow through plans to completion; focussed on delivery
  • Appreciation of the role of systems within business operations 

Desirable skills:

  • Experience in working in large transformational programmes
  • Working knowledge of MS Dynamics CRM
  • Working in cross-functional teams
  • Working in multi-national / multi-lingual teams
  • Understanding of the impact of major transformational change
  • Experience of working using an Agile methodology (tools and techniques).
