IT Product Owner (Cloud Technologies)

Our South Dublin based Financial Services client is looking for an experienced Technical Product Owner to join their team. The successful candidate will be tasked with utilising cloud to benefit the business. This client offers a hybrid work model and excellent benefits.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead product teams to enable the company’s ability to exploit cloud to benefit the business needs.
• Work with the cross functional Cloud team to develop and manage cloud strategy and governance.
• Work closely with vendors such as Azure and AWS and build a strong/collaborative working relationship.
• Define the product strategy, roadmap, and product vision of the products under their remit.
• Work along side Agile team and the product team to achieve sprint goals and maintain the backlog.
• Evaluate the risks and facilitate audits/reviews.

Skills required:

• Strong technical background with development experience within Agile environments.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT Product owner position working on large scale cloud related projects.
• Extensive management experience looking after public cloud technologies.
• Understanding/experience of end-to-end SDLC
• Prior experience/knowledge working to DevOps practices within an Agile environment.
• Previous experience working directly with stakeholders to achieve business/project goals.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills/qualifications:

• Certification in cloud technologies (AWS/Azure)
• Previous experience with tools such as Git
• Prior exposure to Azure DevOps and Atlassian
• Prior experience with Infrastructure as Code languages such as Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation

Education:

• Relevant 3^rd level Degree from a recognised institution
