Job Description

My Dublin based client is recruiting for an IT Manager this is a permanent role.

The IT Manager will be responsible for the day to day operations and the overall functional management of a small busy IT team. This role will be to add Value to the business by designing and implementing IT roadmap aligned to company strategy and as per the “best in industry” standard. An important aspect of this role will be to nurture and develop IT team members with training and mentoring to ensure that high standards of service delivery are maintained.

Job Responsibilities

The IT Manager will have responsibility for the following key results areas:

  • Ensure the security, monitoring and maintenance of the IT systems in the network administration.
  • Assess, evaluate and prioritise all IT requirements and ensure that high standards of service is maintained from IT.
  • Prepare and review IT budgets and oversight and management of IT infrastructure including being project lead on all IT implementations and developments.
  • Assess, evaluate and prioritise all requirements for the provision of IT as a service.
  • Project manage all IT initiatives
  • Liaise with other Heads of Departments on IT needs and strategy.
  • Communicate with clients both internal and external.
  • Produce documentation and development plans for each project.
  • Ownership for the IT Department.
  • Enhance and develop the IT department role in the organisation.
  • Any other duties as required.

Experience Required

  • Enable the IT team members to meet performance objectives by being responsible for providing day to day leadership, training and support and conducting performance management processes in accordance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for assigning tasks to direct reports, scheduling and monitoring work and reviewing results for timelines, accuracy and quality.
  • Ensure productivity improvement through encouragement to staff to submit suggestions and initiatives for process and delivery improvements.
  • Responsible for developing IT team members

  • Experience in Linux and Window Environment.
  • Networking
  • 3 years experience in senior IT role with proven experience in managing a team.
