IT Manager

My Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for an IT Manager this is a perm role working on a hybrid model. The IT  Manager will be responsible for the implementation of projects which will deliver change to the organization optimizing the use of integrated IT services which will include development of a new CRM system. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for identifying, testing and maintaining IT security & risk solutions including risk mitigation, disaster recovery and business continuity. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of network maintenance, experience as a manager, and advanced industry knowledge, and will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our operations and a long-term impact on our overall growth by analyzing current systems and assets, recommending and implementing solutions and upgrades. The IT Manager will also oversee the delivery of outsourced support services.  He / she will work closely with our main 3^rd party IT managed service that covers the Service Desk, Field Service and Managed Services on our servers, network, phones and helpdesk.

Business Support

• Manage Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning
• Budget preparation, management and cost
• Compliance with internal, regulatory and any other legal IT

Information Security

• Manage the implementation of information security standards across systems and
• Have a good grounding in Cyber Security and an ability to strategically implement solutions and work with other functions to deliver effective
• Ensure compliance with data protection and info security
• Training of staff with regards to security of the network.

Supplier Management

• Best practice management of hardware/software maintenance, hosting and infrastructure suppliers, to ensure ongoing value for money and fitness for
• Work closely with and manage key software supplier relationships in the delivery of custom software developments.

Project Management

• Develop and implement best practice policies and procedures, to ensure projects are delivered within an agreed methodology and to a consistent
• A good understanding of waterfall and agile developments methodologies and oversee projects.
• Manage and coordinate internal and external resources, to ensure projects are fully tested and fit for purpose, prior to deployment.
• Ongoing management of the IT Programme, so current and future project requests are planned, organised and delivered in a systematic and timely manner, with minimal business

Experience Required

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT.
• 3+ acting in IT PM manager role.
• Solid experience across IT operations, projects and security.
• Knowledge of infrastructure architecture and cloud solutions.
• Good knowledge of IT security frameworks, standards and methodologies.

Essential and Desirable Skills

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT.
• 3+ acting in IT PM manager role.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelors degree in IT or Computer science.
