My client is currently recruiting for an IT Level 1 / 2 Desktop Support Engineer on a permanent basis and will be onsite.

My client is currently recruiting for an IT Level 1 / 2 Desktop Support Engineer on a permanent basis. This will be an onsite role. The candidate will be onsite providing desktop support to users while working within a regional IT team. This is a hands on role providing first level help / support to the IT users.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support onsite and offsite staff
  • Imaging and Preparation of hardware for staff
  • Support site Printing – Multifunction & Label printing
  • Support of wireless devices, eg RF Guns, laptops, printers
  • Liaise with Vendors
  • Backups/Restore
  • Log and manage tickets in IT Ticketing system
  • Escalate issues to Systems Admin onsite

Experience Required

  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service to users
  • Must be an excellent communicator
  • Can work on their own and part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Minimum 1/2 Years experience

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • Windows operating systems
  • Hardware configuration
  • Active Directory
  • ITIL

Educational Requirements

  • Minimum third level degree in IT or related discipline
