You will be providing IT solutions across different business IT systems (e.g. finance, operations, customer service, etc), as well as helping to improve and implement new applications and processes. This is a great opportunity to step up into an IT Manager position.
Ideal for an IT professional who wants to work in a small team environment, where you will also benefit from the structure and stability of a larger business network.
Job Responsibilities
- Review, analyse, implement, and maintain IT systems and business applications
- Analyse and implement system integrations between customer/supplier applications
- Conduct functional gap analysis and propose recommendations that will maximise IT performance and efficiency
- Manage relationships with third party vendors for hardware and software solutions
- Coordinate with different business functions (Finance, Customer Service) to share knowledge, resolve issues, and provide solutions to individual business needs
- Become the ‘go-to’ person for all local IT matters, as well as an IT spokesperson for the local team when liaising with the wider business
- Investigate and identify new technologies that will be cost-effective and add value to the business
- Mentor and work alongside a small & dedicated team of IT support specialists
Experience Required
- 5+ years’ experience in IT
- Experience providing technical support for business IT systems and applications
- Previous experience working in a small IT team within an SME would be ideal
- Proven track record of improving and automating business systems so they are cost-effective and more efficient
- Experience mentoring junior team members
- Knowledge of eCommerce, Distribution, or Retail industry would be a benefit but not essential
Desirable and Essential Skills
- Solid understanding of both software and hardware
- Knowledge of systems such as: CRM, ERP, finance, e-commerce, workforce management
- Excellent IT vendor management skills
- Autonomous and self-driven mindset
- Comfortable working in a small IT team within a larger business network
- Ability to mentor junior team members
- Driving licence to commute to the office may be required
Educational Requirements
- Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, or another related field
