Job Description

Dublin based technology client requires an IT Infrastructure Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Working with appropriate vendors to provide quality services and fast resolution to incident requests and user issues.
  • Organize, design and execute projects (e.g. upgrades, hardware or software installations).
  • Form and follow assigned priorities based on business and operational needs.
  • Provide technical support and user training for systems, network and devices.
  • Confirm support service issues and concerns are handled appropriately with service providers.
  • Handle licence requirements and renew processes for approved systems and track usage.
  • Establish policies and document procedures for the effective use of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Draw feedback from end users about system performance and issues.
  • Create and manage user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft applications and other approved systems.
  • Check anti-virus, firewall and VPN infrastructure to ensure that all systems comply with security policies and Data Protection requirements.
  • Support Skype for business, video conference equipment and telecoms systems.
  • Perform other duties as management may request.
  • Setting up workstations with computer, phone and necessary peripheral devices.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT infrastructure support role with some project management experience.
  • Strong hands on experience is essential and must have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft products O365, Sharepoint and a variety of network technologies.

Essential and Desirable Skills

  • Good knowledge of web services and internet security and data privacy principles.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management within the organization and across multiple locations and countries.
  • Experience of working with IT vendors and managed services providers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • VOIP phone systems and video conference systems.
  • Exposure to ISO27001 and ITIL is an advantage.

Educational Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
