Job Description

Senior IT Infrastructure manager wanted for top financial client based in Dublin 2.

About the role

  • Meet agreed operational targets for availability, capacity, security, patching, performance etc.
  • Select, design, and implement major IT infrastructure changes and upgrades
  • Implement effective design and operational processes including change and configuration management
  • Work closely with IT Director and business stakeholders on IT infrastructure strategy
  • Manage key suppliers on a day to day basis
  • Develop KPIs for services provided and ensure compliance with SLAs
  • Ensure architecture and operational services meet business requirements and deliver value
  • Ensure services are strategically aligned and compliant with global technical standards
  • Work with GTS Risk and Compliance to ensure the IT infrastructure is compliant with the global security standards
  • Manage and evolve the team in line with changing technologies, services and work practices
  • People development and appraisal
  • Develop and motivate team members to deliver the best possible service to the firm
  • Manage assigned projects
  • Undertake assigned tasks as member of Security Incident Management team
  • Manage the firm’s Disaster Recovery solution
  • Participate in and contribute to appropriate regional and global forums.
  • Contribute to budget development and monitor spend
  • Undertake other assigned management responsibilities


  • Candidates should have a degree in an IT related discipline or a general primary degree followed by a post graduate IT qualification

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years managing large IT Infrastructure teams
  • Ten years+  experience in a senior technical / project management role


  • Current project management qualification – PRINCE2 or similar
  • Experience of working with senior business users
  • Experience of working with a diverse range of technical people
  • Negotiation skills – contracts and SLAs
