IT Infrastructure Engineer (AWS)

My North Dublin client is looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. You will primarily be working on Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, VMWare, and within an AWS environment. This role offers a hybrid working model and is a great location for anyone living in the North Dublin area.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, administer and maintain IT infrastructure solutions, including Windows Servers and Linux/Unix systems.
• Deploy physical and virtual systems in data centers and within AWS cloud environments.
• Contribute to the planning and deployment of software releases and infrastructure configuration.
• Collaborate with various teams across Development, Networking, QA, and Operations.
• Utilise tools to automate IT processes and system monitoring tasks.
• Create documentation for installations, configurations, and releases.

Experience Required

• 4-10 years’ experience in IT infrastructure roles
• Experience working with common operating systems such as Windows Server OS or Linux systems (Linux not essential)
• Knowledge of Windows Server technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Management, DFS, TCP/IP, Clustering, PKI)
• Experience in implementing, integrating, and managing health monitoring systems
• Knowledge and experience of cloud solutions and concepts (especially AWS) would be highly desirable but not essential

Educational Requirements

• Third level degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or another related field (or equivalent experience)
