Job Description

My Cork client is looking for an IT Digital Development Manager.

 Accountabilities for your role

This role requires an ability to manage the front end technical aspect of projects, using best practices to deliver high performing web applications and websites within tight deadlines. These applications include :

  • Open Desktop application.
  • Mobile APP which is deployed over Windows, IOS, Android and Kindle Platforms.
  • All .net /enterprise applications
  • Production support for the above
  • Capacity and penetration testing of all Digital channels to ensure security is robust and performance is within SLA’s.
  • This role also requires the development and maintenance of an environment of innovation and continuous improvement, focusing on quality, cost reduction and architectural process

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with the Commercial  Function and Business Stakeholders


  • Management of project timelines
  • Management & compliance with the Risk and Control Frameworks
  • Budget management

Supplier Management

  • Management and monitoring of strategic 3rd parties
  • Responsibility for the development/involvement of RFP’s where they relate to this area.
  • People Management
  • Communicate with team on a regular basis to ensure all fully understand the business objectives and their roles in relation to same.
  • Involve others in problem-solving and decision-making process, while providing leadership and making decisions when required.
  • Ensure performance reviews are completed for all employees by the communicated deadlines and that each employee receives regular feedback and has an individual development plan in place.
  • Fully engage with the company programme and ensure local action plans are in place and progressing in line with commitments given.
  • Manage the recruitment of the digital team in line with the TOM
  • Manage the resourcing of the team to support all projects

 Technical Competences for your Role – what you are expected to know

  • A minimum of 5 years leading IT teams.
  • 3rd level qualification in a related discipline would be a distinct advantage.
  • Deep understanding of the technologies, specifically in the digital and API space
  • Track record in delivering complex IT projects across multiple teams and vendors.
  • Experience of delivering projects using both Waterfall & Agile methodologies and combinations of both.
  • Track record of supplier and budget management
