Job Description
Our Dublin based client are looking for an IT Consultant to join their growing team. An excellent opportunity with a well established business where you can grow your career.
Job Responsibilities
- Carrying out internal and external due diligence reports for client organisations and their IT systems
- Conducting specialist reviews of IT systems and procedures
- Have involvement of IT service delivery
- Assessment of IT environments that will include cloud environments and on prem sites, risk, automation and data
- Carry out process mapping in order identify areas that could be improved on
- Development of as is and to be documentation for clients
- Lead workshops with clients and provide steps to meet the new requirements
- Develop and document functional and technical specifications and solution design documents for clients
- Deploy or manage the deployment of custom and standard software products
- Contribute towards the overall IT strategy and operating model
Experience Required
- A proven track record of delivery on projects
- Essential that you have excellent communication skills and strong engagement with stakeholders
- The ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues and stakeholders
- Have previous experience in facilitating effective workshops for different levels of an organisation
- Must have an eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
- Ideally, you will have proven commercial experience of supporting business development activities, management of existing and new client relationships and be able to contribute towards winning proposal development
Essential and Desirable Skills
- Ideally you will have have experience across the the following areas in IT;
- ITIL processes
- IT service delivery, review and assessment
- IT Auditing
- Knowledge of assessing IT systems across various platforms.
- Agile & DevSecOps methodologies
- Assessing cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure).
- have a keen interest in emerging tech such as AI, RPA, IoT, Blockchain
- Good project management skills with ability to collaborate and engage across all levels
- Ideally you will have hands on commercial experience on the delivery of projects with a variety of clients
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent education
- ITIL certification would help
- Working knowledge or training in IT standards, frameworks and best practices
- 3-4+ years direct work experience in an technical business analysis capacity
