Job Description

My client is a private wealth management company that operate's in more than 20 locations throughout Europe, Asia, America and the Middle East, employing approximately 3,000 people.

Job Vacancy: I.T. Administrator (Full time)  

 

Job specification:

The main function of this position is to manage all local ICT requirements of the three operating companies in Dublin where the current headcount is 52 and growing. In particular the candidate will work with various business units on a number of I.T. projects in the areas of business development, automation and process improvements. The candidate will also manage all local IT administration requirements – server, network, hardware, software, telecoms, user support – in line with the companies Group standards.

The total number of employees in the Dublin office is approximately 44 people.

 

Objective: Server, network, database & telecoms maintenance

  • General administration of local network environment
  • Manage both hardware and software components of virtual server configuration (VMWare) in an MS operating system environment in conjunction with Group guidelines
  • Support desktop environment including hardware (PCs, printers, mobile devices, telecoms), applications and operating systems (Windows 10)
  • Manage all local telecommunication systems (telephones, video-conferencing)
  • Ensure adherence to Group Security directives and protocol
  • Procurement and implementation of new systems/hardware

 

Objective: Business support & projects

  • General administration of local network environment

Objective: User support

  • Ensure all clients are operational, downtime minimal
  • Offer guidance and support to resolve issues for users
  • Troubleshooting of IT problems – hardware, applications, access rights, etc
  • Respond to Group queries

 

Objective: Security, back-up and disaster recovery

  • Manage physical and logical security of office including access control systems
  • Administration of data backup management system
  • Manage systems side of Business Continuity Management including disaster recovery  Manage Business Continuity Management testing

 

Objective: Documentation

  • Update local IT online procedures manual in conjunction with IT developments

 

Candidate requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in information technology or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technology role (corporate environment an advantage)
  • Server administration, VMWare & Exchange experience required
  • Advanced programming and computer language skills
  • Proven track record in managing projects in corporate environment
  • High degree of professionalism and dedication
  • Ability to work from own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent English (German an advantage)
