Job Description

My Financial Services client is looking for a Infrastructure Technology Leader ( cloud) based in Dublin City Centre.

The Role:

The Infrastructure Technology Leader – Collaboration & Cloud is associated with the Computing, Cloud & Collaboration Manager, and is responsible for providing the technical direction to Infrastructure projects, and application projects delivering Infrastructure, in Collaboration and Cloud matters, ensuring all appropriate internal standards are applied, and ensuring the technologies deployed in this space are capable of adapting to this business requirements as the company expands.

This role is challenging, varied and well suited to someone with broad experience who would like to bring that to bear while developing further depth in the collaboration & cloud Domains.

The successful candidate will have a track record of taking a hands-on approach to infrastructure delivery.

Responsibilities and skills:

  • As part of the  team, continue to develop the O365 RoadMap for Europe
  • Provide technical direction to multiple Collaboration and Cloud Projects throughout all of Europe
  • Raise awareness and drive communication around key Initiatives
  • Work with the architecture team to assist in the development of the total technology Health for Infrastructure tools and assist in the annual assessment process
  • Work within the department to ensure the effective operationalisation of collaboration and cloud services.
  • Develop a close working relationship with company counterparts in these technologies
  • On occasion, take on an architectural role on other Infrastructure Projects
  • Be a key contributor to the development of the Infrastructure Architecture practice in Europe through forums such as the Forum for Infrastructure Architecture
  • Participate in the development of annual delivery plans
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with I.S. Leaders both within the department, other areas of IS, and the Lines of business IS

The successful candidate ideally should possess:

  • 10+ Years working in IS, preferably in Infrastructure Project delivery
  • In-depth technical knowledge of one or more collaboration and cloud tools
  • A proven track record of implementing transformational projects across Europe
  • A proven track record in working effectively as part of a team within formal project management methodologies and processes
  • Excellent communications skills with a track record in communicating at all levels from Executive to Team level, IS and business stakeholders. Excellent written skills are also essential
  • A proven track record in stakeholder management at all levels in the organisation including Executive and senior staff, within both IS and the business, project delivery and support staff, 3rd party vendors and controller functions within the organisation
  • The drive and willingness to continuously develop your technical knowledge of the Collaboration & Cloud landscape and evaluate our environment critically so as to ensure continuous improvement and help protect our environment
