My Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for an Infrastructure Support Analyst to join the team. This role is on a permanent basis with an excellent client.

Overview

My Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for an Infrastructure Support Analyst to join the team. This role is on a permanent basis with an excellent client. The successful candidate will be supporting onsite management of the IT infrastructure, including network devices, storage, VMware hosts and wireless devices.

Duties

Providing 1st & 2nd level support for all client business applications, including configuration of hardware, operating systems, software and network connectivity

Maintaining and monitoring all network, security and computer systems to meet current and future requirements and Installing operating systems and application patches or updates

Maintaining IT equipment and software registers in order to maintain a log and have accurate tracking

Installing operating systems and application patches or updates

Provide user support, log and resolve issues within required turnaround times and ensure visibility of status reviews and reports

Ensuring system set up and management tasks are performed on the applications and hardware, while monitoring server availability

Testing all changes to networks, hardware, software, and hosted applications prior to production use

Monitoring systems and identifying performance issues proactively and identifying solutions

Troubleshooting network connectivity problems, and liaise with respective network engineers to ensure minimal disruption

Supporting and maintaining printer consumables, computer peripherals, and audio/video conferencing facilities to ensure smooth business operation

Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and services as per agreed PO and within defined time limits

Creating user documentation and training guides in order to ensure adequate knowledge management

Assisting with network planning and design of network connections

Working in collaboration with global Infrastructure team while also being involved with operations in other parts of the world

Actively maintaining IT helpdesk application with all information and ensure meeting helpdesk ticket SLAs

 Skills Required

Expert level Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 Administration MCSE (Server)

Intermediate level Cisco e.g. CCNA/CCNP (routing and switching + security)

Advanced VMware certifications are desirable

Intermediate ITIL certifications desirable

Preferred skills to include the following:

Cisco Firewall, Router and Switches, WLAN Controller

EMC SAN

IBM Servers

VMWare virtualization

Microsoft Windows 7 & 10

Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 /2016

Microsoft Active Directory / ADManager

Microsoft Outlook 2010 / 2016

Microsoft Office 365 / 2010
