Job Description
My Dublin City Centre based client is currently recruiting for a Infrastructure Engineer to join their existing team.
About this role
- Development of our RMM Solution (Autotask Endpoint Management – AEM)
- Solving unique and interesting challenges in quest for speed, scale, availability and efficiency of support services by engineering reliability into software and systems.
- Responsible for keeping critical production applications and infrastructure up and running
- Extend monitoring capabilities for Windows Servers / Hyper-V / VMware / Veeam / Backup Exec / Webroot / Sonicwall / Cisco / BYOD / Network Devices etc. Implement self-healing fixes where relevant
- Automation & Development of monitoring alerts for various Operating Systems, Backup Solutions, Hardware, Disk Space and Antivirus Products.
- Troubleshooting and resolution of Server availability, Backups Failures, Hardware Failures, Disk Space Issues and Antivirus Issues
- Liaising with 3rd party software vendors on support cases
- Patch Management and maintenance responsibilities to ensure optimum performance
- Remote deployment of Antivirus solutions and Software packages
- Develop and automate Client On-Boarding process for populating site documentation in conjunction with site visits
- MIS Reporting for sales and services
Requirements
- The successful candidate will have:
- 3+ years in a managed service environment
- Excellent RMM toolset experience (AEM, Kaseya, Labtech, etc)
- Strong PowerShell experience using and developing scripts
- Good understanding and knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server virtualization technologies, backup and monitoring solutions
- MS Azure automation & JSON scripting experience advantageous
- Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Exceptional customer service, communication, problem solving, and technical writing skills are required.
- Third level IT or related qualification
- Ability to think on your feet and thrive under pressure
