About this role
The Information Security Operations Engineer will be based in Dublin, Ireland reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and will be expected to assist in the delivery of tactical and strategic initiatives as part of the information security programme & business support activities across Europe, Americas, and APAC regions focussing on technical services and best practices.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills & strong working security experience across various areas of security. The candidate will take on the day to day management of certain security processes and controls within the Group Information Security.
The role’s principal responsibilities include (but are not limited too)
- Manage all day to day correspondence that comes into the Group Information Security mailbox, analysing activities, events and escalating as appropriate;
- Provide support and advisory to security events for local, regional and central teams;
- Perform vulnerability analysis and advisory for vulnerability management activities through to programme reporting and tracking;
- Daily interactions with end users, IT teams along with other key stakeholders;
- Examination and timely action to Threat Intelligence feeds, reports and events;
- Monitor Issues and Action Plans;
- General administrative tasks associated with control programs;
- Tracking and resolution of security events through to completion;
- Combine techniques to enhance overall security posture of our companies;
- Strong networks, applications and server security experience;
- Run Reports as requested by the business;
- Engaging with business stakeholders to understand business practices; gathering and facilitating the convergence of business, technical and security requirements; liaising with IT to align the environment with existing and future requirements;
- Performing third party or key supply chain risk assessments, including providing potential countermeasures;
- Providing security testing and product evaluation of security solutions and controlsProducing reports on the security posture of the infrastructure and provide recommendations for improvements
- Researching industry standards and state–of–the -art technology developments to ensure that security techniques and mechanisms in use remain current and are capable of supporting evolving business requirements
Relevant Experience & Qualifications
- Relevant Educational Background including SSCP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, OSCP or others (would be an advantage) along with operational experience of 3-5 years in Information Security field
- Excellent understanding of information security concepts, protocols, industry best practices and strategies; analytical skills to evaluate security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with IT, project and application development teams, management and business personnel; capable of building strong relationships and understanding business imperatives
- Proven track record of growth in your previous roles
