Helpdesk Support Engineer – 1st Level

My Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for a Service Desk Support Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be part of the IT Infrastructure Team and will be report into the IT Infrastructure Manager. You will be responsible for providing day to day support and administration to end users for LAN, Desktops & Servers. The role will be hybrid work model on site per week in Dublin IFSC beside the dartline.

Role and responsibilities

• Help to support IT on the Service Desk team.
• Work with all end users (Circa 500-600 users) are responded to promptly. 1st and 2nd level Support,
• Record all incident request in IT Service Management software.
• Help play a key role to an effective IT Service Desk service team.
• Someone who has a polite manner with good communication skills.
• Own IT incidents and requests through their lifecycle under agreed internal service levels
• Create and update useful IT Service Desk guidance and procedure notes.
• Relevant work placement experience in a similar IT environment
• Familiar withi ITIL/ ITSM processes. (Ie Servicenow)
• Flexibility and adaptability (part of a rota IT Support group)
• Excellent communication skills
• Good teamwork skills

Skills, experience and characteristics required

• Hold either a certification or minimum diploma in IT
• Someone with circa 2 years IT Support (Helpdesk or Service Desk) experience
• Technical skills required: Windows 10, Active Directory, VPN, Office 365
• Ability to work in a challenging environment with changing priorities/deadlines
• Exposure to a ticket Incident response environment.
• Good communications skills
